Thanks to all those who came out for the Earth Day Clean-up at PRS! About 25-30 students and family were on site picking up bags of trash from the school grounds. The clean-up was organized by Cleaner, Green Hingham (formerly known as the Long Range Waste Disposal and Recycling Committee). Check out the gallery below for some pics from the clean-up at PRS.
The experience reinforced two key things:
1. We've got a great community at PRS. Just watching parents and kids deep in the briar patches pulling out trash - you can tell they care about their school!
2. We've got to do more to keep it clean and green. It's great we get together once a year to clean up the playgrounds but we can do more to ensure our outdoor (and indoor) environment stay healthy and reduce our trash. This will be a focus of the Green Team in the coming year.
