The holidays are upon us. If you are looking for new ideas for stocking stuffers - or want to make a New Years resolution to be more green - think about reusable bags and containers for lunches.
I know, I know. Ziploc bags are so convenient and cheap. Why make the switch? The BabyCenter Blog had a recent post on this very topic. In nutshell, they are versatile, fun, and more affordable in the long run.
There are lots of brands to choose from depending on your preferences (in the case of the bags many are machine washable). Kitchen Stewardship put together a top list of reusable bags and there are a ton more on Amazon and Etsy. As for containers, lots of retailers in the area sell reusable containers (Marshalls often has good deals on Sistema ones, which hold up well and are BPA and Phthalate free).
The Green Team may be looking into our very own PRS branded bags too so stay tuned for more details!
